That's why they've teamed up with Zero Gravity to run a year long mentoring programme, built to help students like you get into STEM.
You'll be matched with a university student studying a STEM subject who was in your exact position not long ago. They'll be your mentor through the biggest decisions of your final year at school, from picking the right course to writing a personal statement that actually sounds like you, all through our free and safe app.
- Your own uni mentor: one-to-one support from someone a few steps ahead of you, on your schedule. Ask them anything, even the stuff that feels a bit awkward.
- Real UCAS support: help choosing the right course and uni, building a standout personal statement, and applying with confidence instead of stress.
- A community space: join a group of students, mentors and GSK professionals who genuinely get it. Swap advice, ask questions, and realise you're not doing this alone.
- Exclusive masterclasses: live online sessions, including insight straight from GSK scientists on how people really break into STEM.
- A real look ahead: discover the huge range of STEM careers out there, far beyond the lab, and what it actually takes to get there.
- September: You're matched with your mentor - mentoring begins and your community space opens.
- Autumn term: your mentor helps you choose courses, shape your personal statement and apply, alongside live masterclasses with GSK careers insight.
- By January: submit your UCAS application feeling ready and confident.
- Beyond: keep your mentor by your side as you prep for results and the move to uni.
Applying to university is hard, and it's even harder without someone to turn to. Your mentor is that someone, and with GSK behind the programme, you've got a global science company in your corner too. This is also a great way for you to add a big industry name to your CV too.
